ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -For a third-year player, Orlando Magic guard Jameer Nelson is starting to look a lot like a seasoned team captain.

On his own this summer, Nelson arranged for his teammates to meet for a week in Philadelphia. Minus Dwight Howard, who was playing with the U.S. national team, and a few others, the new squad hung out, went bowling and even played paintball, Nelson said Monday before the Magic were to begin training camp.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -J.J. Redick's court appearance to face drunken driving charges was delayed Tuesday until Oct. 24.

Redick, a former Duke star and first-round draft pick of the Orlando Magic, was also charged with unlawful use of highways for making an illegal U-turn, police said.

Redick was arrested after 1 a.m. on June 13 when he turned around as he approached a license check point near the Duke campus. He pulled into a parking lot of an apartment complex after police pursued him.
